Three house rules, then you’re free

1. Use it anywhere social.

   Free to use with credit on all social media platforms (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Twitch, Facebook, X…), livestreams included, monetised or not. Podcasts, school projects, games and apps are fine too.

2. Credit Purrple Cat.

   Put the credit line where people can see it: the video description, show notes, stream panel or credits screen.

3. Don’t put it on streaming services.

   Neither the music nor remixes, samples or covers of it may be uploaded to music streaming services like Spotify, Apple Music or YouTube Music, because that causes false Content ID claims. Don’t register it with Content ID or any other fingerprinting system either.

Every song is licensed Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0). Downloads are MP3. Nothing to sign, nothing to pay, no royalties.
